guardiandailyThe first time Zhao Yunlan visits Dixing, he sees visions in of his mother when going through the portal, and arrives terribly shaken. The way Shen Wei offers him support - saying his name, touching him gently, grounding him in where they are - absolutely gets me every time, as does that vulnerability we see in Yunlan.
I have a lot of feelings about this this interaction, and so - gifs. Crossposted here on my Tumblr.
ETA: Only after staring at it for most of the day have I realized that the moment Shen Wei touches Zhao Yunlan (second gif), he leans into that touch. Then before letting go, Shen Wei gently pushes Zhao Yunlan upright again in the last one. It's so subtle and so very lovely and Guardian is full of these little moments.♥
