I am not a great gif maker, but for my own satisfaction, I tried to gif that little moment after Baby Shen Wei tells Kunlun that nobody has ever asked him why he does what he does. (Because I know Zhu Yi Long is the king of microexpressions, but this little bit always gets to me, I'm just saying.)

Bai Yui is also an excellent actor - his style is very different from Zhu Yilong's, but he really shouldn't be underestimated. Wich moments like this show very well, IMO!

I really like what Bai Yu is doing with Zhao Yunlan. He's threading the needle a lot with playing a guy who is playing some projected version of himself, which is why (I think) sometimes he looks less subtle than Shen Wei, but he really brings it in the key moments.

100% this! It was a glorious heartbreaker of a moment expressed with a simple expression. The end result being that the viewer just wants to smoosh then together forever.

This moment killed me because somehow Bai Yu managed to convey all these different things at once: how ZYL was falling even more in love with SW; his sadness at the innocence SW once had and lost; his realization of how SW came to be the way he is. Honestly, I don't even have words.
